Fall Boots & Booties I'm Lovin'

I recently had to get rid of my go-to Ralph Lauren riding boots that I've had since 2008. Clearly after wearing them for 6 years they were getting a bit narsty. I went shopping at Bloomingdales with my sisters CLH & MEM and purchased these, but when I wore them around my apartment I realized they were NOT comfortable. So, I returned them and purchased these in a dark brown color and I love them! Here are some other ones I've been eyeing:

Jonathan Adler Inspired Living Room

MFB and I are in our current apartment until the end of January. One thing I am looking forward to about moving is the possibility of redesigning our living room. I've had the same design scheme in the living room since my first apartment in 2005. It basically looks like Nantucket threw up everywhere...but seriously. While I love Nantucket, I would love to get rid of the nautical/preppy look and design something a little more modern and grown up. I recently went browsing at Jonathan Adler on the UES and fell in love with this sectional which they had displayed in a beautiful blue color. Here is a little somethin' somethin' I put together with some pieces I found "surfing the web":

Weekend Recap

This past weekend MFB decided to take me skeet shooting! We went to Thunder Mountain Trap and Skeet in Ringwood, New Jersey. It was a quick drive from NYC and was located in a beautiful park. I was a little nervous to take the first shot, but I wound up getting the hang of it on my second turn. MFB was definitely in his element and looked like a pro. I would highly recommend it for a fun activity to do outside of the city.

Honeymoon: Four Seasons at Anahita, Mauritius

We absolutely loved our stay at The Four Seasons. Mauritius was so beautiful and it actually reminded us a lot of Hawaii. We went kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, bike riding, and took a private boat ride to a waterfall. It was the perfect end to an amazing trip!

Last night of the honeymoon!

Honeymoon: Exeter River Lodge, Sabi Sands

When can we go back?

The safari was everything we had hoped for. We saw elephants, wild dogs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocs, hyenas, warthogs, lions, buffalo, baboons, the list goes on and on! We stayed at Exeter River Lodge and the service was superb. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone considering visiting Kruger National Park.
 Enjoying our first evening safari.
 Our favorite baby elephant.
MFB gets credit for this shot.
This lion had just come off a buffalo kill, hence the bleeding lip.
Hermes Twilly on safari? Sure! Why not?

Honeymoon: Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town was ah-mazing. We stayed at Cape Cadogan and the service was beyond belief. The staff were so attentive and eager to make our stay absolutely perfect. My favorite perk was that they put hot water bottles in the bed to warm it up at night = soooo cozy :)
On our only full day there we had a private tour of the Cape Highlights. We started our morning at Table Mountain and enjoyed the cable ride and spectacular views. Then, we went to the Cape of Good Hope to take in the sights. Our next stop was Boulders Beach where we enjoyed some interesting "penguin watching."
Here we are on the last leg of the highlights tour at Ernie Els Wine Estate. Wine & views were amaze.

All in all, twas' loverly!
